The rumours about the cemetery were popularized when an article was published in the student newspaper of the University of Kansas which claimed that the devil visits this graveyard twice a year once in spring equinox and another during Halloween.
It is also said that during the pope's visit to colorado in the 1990's he redirected the flight path of his private plane in order to avoid over the unholy ground, but there is no proper evidence of whether it actually happened or not.
Though modern scholars and historians argue that there is nothing paranormal here still this cemetery is infamous as a haunted place.

Highgate Cemetery is a graveyard situated in the northern part of London in England. This graveyard was opened in 1839 and at present, this cemetery consists of more than 53,000 graves across the west and cemeteries and it is estimated that around 170,000 people are buried here.
This cemetery covers a land area of 37 acres.
Many famous people including philosopher Karl Marx, the founder of Marxist philosophy and the English scientist Micheal Faraday were also buried here.
Highgate cemetery is infamous as a haunted place due to the reported ghost sightings and paranormal experiences.
Perhaps the most famous legend regarding this cemetery is about the vampire of the highgate cemetery. It is said that a bloodthirsty vampire wanders around the cemetery and its premises. The vampire of the Highgate cemetery is also known as the "Highgate Vampire" and there was a media sensation regarding this back in the 1960s to 1980s.

Union Cemetery is a cemetery in Easton, in the US state of Connecticut. This site has a history of around 3 centuries.
According to many ghost hunters, this cemetery is one of the most haunted graveyards in the entire US.
Many claims to see ghosts here and the most popular legend regarding this graveyard is about the ghost called the white lady. It is said that a ghost wearing a wedding dress can be seen on the premises of this cemetery.
Demonologist Ed Warren claims to have seen the ghost and have the video of it.
