As I stated earlier, the Overtoun Bridge is infamous for the dog suicides that had happened there. Dogs walking through the bridge jumps to death from the height of 50 feet to death.

Dogs that jump from the top of the bridge doesn't die always there are cases where many dogs survived.

Not only stray dogs but dogs with respective owners also couldn't resist themselves from jumping from the top of the bridge.

From the 1950s onwards, the locals started calling this bridge names like 'bridge of death' and 'dogs suicide bridge'.

Between 2000 and 2010 the legend of this bridge gained more prominence.

It is estimated that at least 50 dogs died out of the 600 dogs that jumped from the top of the bridge.

The dog death is not the only disaster that had happened here. In 1994 a mentally unstable man threw off his two weeks only son to his death too.

Though there is no proper explanation behind the cause of why the dogs leap off from the top of the Overtoun Bridge. Many believe it as an aftermath of a paranormal incident, but the actual cause still remains a mystery.
