The Backstory of Busby Stoop Chair

An Old Map of England

Back in 1702 in England, There was a guy named Thomas Busby who with a man named Daniel Auty used to run a coin counterfeit and other illegal businesses. One day they argued about their business and the fight got too worse that it ended with Busby killing Auty.

Another version of the story says that Busby fell fall in love with Auty's women. One day evening after drinking, Busby said all of this to Auty. He went furious about it and started fighting with Busby, which ended up Busby killing Auty.

It is also said that during their fight Auty sat on the chair of Busby on which he went more furious as Busby hated others sitting on his chair.

However, Busby was found guilty of Auty's murder and was sentenced to death.

Before execution, when Thomas Busby was asked his last wish he said to allow him to sit on his favourite chair one last time and while he sat on his chair he cursed the chair publicly saying "From today onwards whoever sits on this chair won't live long".

Even the cursing of the chair has another version saying that Busby cursed a random chair of a hotel where he had his last meal.

Whatever the story is but from then onwards Busby Stoop Chair has been considered to be a cursed object.

It is believed that this chair is responsible for the deaths of approximately 63 people which includes soldiers from World Wars in which soldiers sat on that chair for fun but died in the war.

It is also said that once a maid accidentally sat on this chair and died that same day mysteriously.
