Most Haunted Houses and Mansions in the World

There are many houses and mansions in our world which are considered to be Haunted. These homes are said to haunt by the spirits of the deceased residents of here or a person who had a connection with this house. Here are some of the houses which are considered to be haunted.

Monte Cristo Homestead (Australia)

Located in the town of Junee in New South Wales, AustraliaMonte Cristo Homestead is regarded as the most haunted place in entire Australia. Built-in the early 1880s by Christopher William Crawley, many tragic events that took place here are considered to be the reason for this homestead being haunted. Like a maid fell down from the balcony and died, a stable boy burned to death, a housekeeper once shot dead here, etc are considered to be the reason behind the paranormal incidents occurring here. It is said that the ghosts of the people who died here haunt this Homestead.

Villisca Axe Murder House (United States)

Located in a town named Villisca in southern Iowa sometime after midnight on June 10, 1912, six children and two adults were found strangled to death by an ax that remained at the scene. Allegations of crime spread quickly throughout the small town of Villisca sparking suspicious eye contact with neighbors that could lead to broken friendships. Unfortunately, the 1912 crime resolution technology has not been complex enough to identify the killer, and the case has not been resolved to this day. Amateur investigators from historians to fortune-tellers have tried their hand to resolve the case, but no decision has been made.

After changing hands several times since the case, the house was finally sold to local museum manager Darwin Linn in 1994. Linn soon began renovating the house, restoring it to its original shape during the genocide, and giving the site a beautiful new name: Villisca Axe Murder House.

In the meantime, visitors can visit the historic crime scene, now free from attack. And if the bed and breakfast venues in Villisca, Iowa do not suit you well during your visit, do not go any further: Brave (rich) guests can stay at Axe Murder House for $ 400 a night.

Many paranormal investigators stayed here and collected many pieces of evidence that lead to the conclusion of this house being haunted by those family members who were murdered here.

Borgvattnet vicarage is known as one of the most haunted places in Sweden, and its reputation also attracted a priest dedicated to purifying the famous spirits.

Built-in 1876, the Humble House for Holy Men was first reported in 1927 when resident vicars reported strange incidents of their clothes being torn from the line. Stories of supernatural events are said to be experienced by almost every new Victor or his family or guests in the coming decades. Things changed, screams were heard, people in the shadows appeared and the old rocking chair kept moving. Legends about the origins of demons also tell of abused maids and children buried in the yard, although now the old vicars are said to haunt the house.

In the early 1980s, the famous site Tor Forceland caught the attention of a ghost priest. This devoted enemy of the Gupta period promised to come to the city and dispel the fear that the citizens had already started pouring capital. Unfortunately, his terrorism was not successful and he left the area within a year.

Today Witcher runs a small bed and snacks for those interested in staying the night, with the option of renting the whole house. Whoever does this at night, will receive a diploma as a mark of their honor.

Built-in 1874 in Kansas City by a German businessman named Anton Philip Sauer. He shifted from New York City to this home after he married a widow following the death of his first wife. After a while, he shifted to this home his youngest daughter died and her body was buried here and after a year Anton also died due to Tuberculosis.

After these incidents, many paranormal incidents started to take place here. Neighbors said they saw lights floating in the towers and in the stadiums, and heard voices coming from inside the house where no one lived. The widow's departure is said to be accompanied by the appearance of a woman in a black hat, and on Halloween, a man and a woman can be seen dancing in a tower.

While the facts of Castle's history maybe a little kind and ghostly, there is plenty of dark history behind the house to entertain ghost hunters and historians alike. Five generations of Sauuer family members died in the house, including one suicide.

Winchester Mystery House (United States)

Winchester Mystery House located in San Jose, California, U.S, was built by Sarah Winchester who was the widow of the American firearms magnate William Wirt Winchester. She embarked on the non-stop construction of this mansion in the belief that she was hunted by the spirits of people who were killed by the rifles "Winchester Rifles" developed by her husband's company named Winchester Repeating Arms Company and by building this mansion she could confuse those spirits. The mansion's construction continued till the death of Sarah Winchester in 1922 and now it is said that the spirits of William and Sarah Winchester haunt this mansion along with the spirits of other people who were killed using Winchester Rifle.
