Aka Manto also known as "Red Cape" is an infamous Japanese urban legend. According to this legend, a ghost of a young boy haunts the public restrooms and the toilets of the schools in Japan. It is said that Aka Manto mainly targets a person who is alone in these restrooms.

It is said a ghost suddenly appears in front of a person who is alone in the public restrooms. The body of this ghost covered with a red cape and its face is covered by a golden coloured mask.

After it appears it approaches the person and asks "Do you want a red coloured cape or a blue coloured cape".

If that person answers red, then Aka Manto is said to injure that person so severely that the person's body will be covered by his own blood and appears red.

If that person answers blue instead, Aka Manto will either strangle that person to death or beheads that person and drain his blood.

If that person tries to become over smart and gives a different answer, it is said that Aka Manto will drag him to hell.

But if that person answers yellow, then Aka Manto will force his head into the toilet and the person's face appears yellow in colour due to the dirt on his face. But the victim will survive.

In some versions of this legend, simply ignoring Aka Manto will be the best choice.

Another version of this legend says that Aka Manto will ask for paper instead of a cape.
